Ovation Showcase Production Manager
Department of Literature, Folklore, and The Arts
The production manager will:
- Coordinate with their supervisor and the theatre manager to produce Ovation in the Boardmore Theatre on April 12 (date to be confirmed).
- Recruit students, staff, and faculty from performance classes and the larger campus community by:
- devising digital and print ads and written communication.
- distributing these materials as appropriate through university channels.
- tracking and responding to expressions of interest.
- Organize auditions and a group rehearsal as required.
- Manage communication with performers.
- Serve as a stage manager, assistant stage manager, or stage crew/technician for the production.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of or experience with theatrical or musical performance as well as strong organizational, communication, and writing skills. Candidates must be confident with standard programs, like Word and Excel, and students with experience in digital design software (e.g. Photoshop, Canva). Experience with stage or event management and/or digital visual design is an asset. Candidates must have excellent writing skills; applications that do not demonstrate these skills will not be considered.
