Project Administration Officer, Education Department

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with both the Manager of the Bachelor of Education and the Manager of Teacher Education, along with the department chair on projects which could include:

  • Working with Marketing and Communications on updating our websites and social media accounts.
  • Creating content for and monitoring the departments social media accounts.
  • Developing a student orientation package for the various graduate programs
  • Interviewing current and past students as part of efforts to collect testimonials related to the excellence of our programs (to be used on our social media accounts and marketing materials) and as part of our ongoing efforts to diversify our student body
  • Conduct reach out to new and returning education students on important dates/registration/orientation etc.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and creating content for the Department of Education’s social media accounts. Managing the accounts, creating content schedules, working with the MarComm team on content for the CBU social media platforms
  • Working with the B.Ed Manager on creating information sessions for potential B.Ed applicants

Qualifications:

  • Current full time CBU student in good academic, having completed at least 1 full year of studies
  • Strong working knowledge of all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Moodle, CBU Student Accounts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of the larger Department of Education team

Learning Outcomes:

  • Strong working knowledge of the CBU Department of Education.
  • Strengthened their communication/critical thinking skills through their work in building social media content.
  • Enhanced interview skills in conducting interviews with faculty/instructors/education students.
  • Enhanced their knowledge/skills in using social media for the purpose of marketing.
