African Canadian Student Coordinator
Job Description
Working with the Student Development Officer for students of African Nova Scotian and Canadian Descent, to help promote the program and develop a sense of community as well as running meetings and working with the African Nova Scotian communities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Student Development officer for African Nova Scotian and Canadian decent promote and implement programming
- Assist with the start up and organization of group meetings
- Connect with African Nova Scotian/African Canadian students that attend Cape Breton University
- Maintain ongoing communication with students
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Computer skills
- Leadership
- Preference will be given to students of African Nova Scotian/African Canadian descent.
Cape Breton University’s Work Study program is an on-campus employment program open to full time, current/returning students who are in good academic standing.
