JOB TITLE: Annual Giving Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation

REPORTS TO: Annual Giving Officer

The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation is currently seeking individuals to fill the student position of Annual Giving Assistant.

Reporting directly to the Annual Giving Officer, the Annual Giving Assistant is responsible for
providing a successful level of organizational and communication support, coordinating logistics
for community and third-party events, and assisting with both internal and external fundraising programs.


• Work collaboratively with and provide support to the Annual Giving Officer.

• Contribute in a collaborative and productive manner to foundation-wide fundraising programs
and initiatives including community and third-party fundraisers.

• Represent the foundation at community events where appropriate.

• Provide communication support to all community and third party fundraisers with direction from
the Manager of Marketing and Communications.

• Support the coordination of Foundation and event volunteers.

• Be able to take on all other duties as assigned.


• Demonstrate ability to work in an empowered, team-focused environment.

• Ability to utilize communication and social platforms.

• Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.

• Business knowledge, preferably in business administration/marketing/public

• Capacity to deal effectively with wide range of relationships and situations.

• Understanding of fundraising practices and community interest and awareness considered an

• Valid Drivers’ License and reliable vehicle required.

• As per SWPP eligibility requirements, individual must be;

o Registered in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.

o Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred
under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
