looking to fill

two term positions of HR Co-op Student in our Talent Acquisition and Human Resources department.

Please be aware there is a possibility that this will be a work-from-home position should
directives from the Public Health or NS Power recommend this course of action in response to
COVID-19.

Accountabilities:

As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will:

• Conduct background checks

• Submit requests for pre-employment testing and assessments

• Schedule and coordinate interviews; calling candidates, liaise with hiring managers, booking
calendar appointments and meeting rooms, sending confirmation e-mails

• Update requisitions in Taleo on a daily basis and throughout recruitments

• Other recruitment-related projects as required.

As a member of the Human Resources team, you will assist with administrative and generalist duties
such as:

• Performance management

• Organization development

• Employee orientation, development, and training

• Administration and documentation of policies and programs

• Employee relationship management

• Committee facilitation

Skills, Capabilities and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business

• Experience in using SharePoint and applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Taleo, considered
an asset

• Previous experiencein a recruitment environment considered an asset

• Results oriented and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail

• Proactive in nature with high level of energy

• Superior customer service and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision, to multi-task and prioritize

• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently

• Experience with MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.
