Student Transition Coordinator

Position Description:

The Student Transition Coordinators will work out of the First-Year Advising Centre (FYAC) to provide advising, registration and online navigation support to students enrolling at CBU. They will help students transition to university by providing information on CBU’s programs, services, and resources to ensure students are empowered with access to this knowledge throughout the year.

In addition, the Student Transition Coordinator will:

• Work independently and as part of the FYAC advising team

• Help students schedule advising appointments

• Greet incoming students and parents and keep appointments operating smoothly

• Maintain ongoing communication with students, academic advisors and university faculty and staff

• Assist with Orientation planning and promotion

• Teach students how to understand the timetable to create a class schedule

• Teach students to navigate the CBU website, access their CBU email, access their student account, and complete their registration

• Answer phone and email inquiries

• Complete various organizational tasks

Anticipated to be on-campus work, but subject to change to remote work as well.

Rate of Pay:  $14/hr
