Citizens Service League Town House Glace Bay

We are looking for a student entering into the 3rd of 4th year of their program in Fall 2020, our goal is to move two facets of our current operation from their existing status as charitable operations that only charge nominal fees for the services they  provide to operations that will be run as social enterprises and as such will contribute income back to the parent organization ( or at the very least, break even) .

To meet this goal and to stay within current social distancing and best health and safety practices it is expected that the individual will work independently and remotely.

The Ideal candidate should

• Mature individual who can operate independently to meet pre- established mutually agreed upon outcomes.
• Have a firm understanding of and experience with community service and volunteerism.
• Solidly trained in community based marketing and survey methods.
• Knowledgeable about social enterprises in general and in Nova Scotia in particular.
• Able to build a business plan for each of the social enterprises ( Daycare and a Thrift Store)
• Able to collaborate with the Board and Management to build a roadmap with milestones and timelines to move from our current operations to social enterprise.
