On November 8th, 2021, the Parks Canada Agency announced the details of its vaccination requirement for all employees.
As per the Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for Parks Canada Agency, employees must attest to their vaccination status. Outreach Assistant(s)
With guidance, the Outreach Assistant will be responsible for researching, developing and delivering captivating educational and outreach programs to a variety of audiences. You will connect with audiences at virtual and in-person events and celebrations for Parks Canada administered places on Cape Breton Island.
Public Relations and Communications Assistant
The Public Relations and Communications Assistant will support media visits, events and communications strategies and tactics. This role will include writing and editing communications materials including media pitches, news releases and newsletters for various audiences. The Assistant will also help plan special events and provide support for event implementation.
Promotions Assistant
The Promotions Assistant will use their skills to help in the development and implementation of tourism and promotional activities. This role enhances the awareness of visitor experiences and engages all visitors in the learning, enjoyment and connection to Parks Canada places on Cape Breton Island.
Social Media Assistant
The Social Media Assistant will research and prepare stock posts in collaboration with subject matter experts. Duties will include creating Facebook and Twitter posts, as well as designing social media campaigns and updating content calendars.
Photography and Videography Student
The Photography and Videography Student will be a creative storyteller that has great attention to detail, which will be used to create a series of captivating digital images. You’ll have the amazing opportunity to capture photography and video of Parks Canada administered places, staff, visitors and experiences.
Parks Canada is looking for youth for jobs this year! The Youth Employment and Skills Strategy is a Federal Government jobs initiative targeted at young Canadians aged 15 to 30. It supports the creation of job opportunities, with a particular focus on young people facing barriers. The purpose is to increase employment for youth, enabling them to gain work experience, to develop skills, and to extend their networks.
