looking to fill two term positions of Jr. Strategic Sourcing Co-op Student.

directives from the Public Health or NS Power recommend this course of action in response to

Accountabilities:
As part of the Purchasing team focused, the Junior Strategic Sourcing Student will be responsible
to:
• Work with the Buyers to source product;
• Work with the Buyers to expedite orders and resolve past due orders;
• Work with Vendors to complete purchases and resolve outstanding issues;
• Assist in the development of standards, training and communication documentation with
direction from the Purchasing Manager;
• Conduct basic data analysis and assessment of data quality;
• Assist with other business improvement activities and business tasks as assigned.

You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring
compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
• Must be working towards a post-secondary degree in Business or other related discipline;
• Experience and proficiency with entire MS Office suite, particularly Excel (including pivot
tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, merging and master sheets) together with strong analytical, data, and
math skills;
• Must have excellent writing skills;
• Customer Service skills strongly desired;
• Must have strong business and personal communication skills;
• Must have strong attention to detail and prioritization skills;
• Excellent organizational skills, with good problem-solving approach;
• Self-starter; must be able to meet deliverables with minimal supervision.

Reports to: Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Management/ Procurement.

Salary: To commensurate with qualifications and experience.
