What you will be doing?

  • Process invoices, expense reports, and new vendors
  • Review supplier statements and research outstanding payments
  • Research customer billing inquiries, assist with pulling supporting documentation for group bills and track Event Satisfaction Survey results
  • Assist with Cashier duties including, but not limited to matching due backs and creating cash bar ticket packages
  • Filing of daily income audit packages and other duties assigned
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
  • Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
  • Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.
  • Follow up and resolve past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
  • Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong focus on Excel
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and business writing skills
  • Post-Secondary education in accounting considered an asset
  • 2 years related work experience required, experience in hospitality a definite asset
