SUMMER 2024 CO-OP: Training Officer – Atlantic Central

Atlantic Central is currently accepting applications for a summer student position of Training Officer.

In the role of Training Officer, you will be responsible to provide administrative, program and project support to the Sales Training Program.  unions. 



  • Provides administration support to the Sales Training program including, but not limited to; communication and responding to credit union inquiries; preparing correspondence, reports and other documents. 
  • Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of webinars, one-on-one consultations, and leadership development training session. Coordinates with guest speakers and assist with content and development of recorded sessions. 
  • Coordinates, executes and supports the delivery of the sales training program through the compilation of research and data collection in support of the sessions, keeping content relevant and current.  
  • Maintains the cuZone page and the Training Calendar section of company website including but not limited to, maintenance of the pages, uploading content, posting communications ensuring content contained within the website is consistent and accurate.  
  • Provides training participant with technical webinar support for the Sales Training Program. Monitors and supports the department email inquiries. 
  • Coordinates, executes and supports the annual participant survey. 
  • Completes other duties and projects as may be assigned. 



This position will be based in our Halifax office, but offers the ability to work remotely as required. 



As the ideal candidate you will be working towards completing a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business and have completed at least your first year of study. 



You have experience with website administration, ability to learn new software, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). You will also have strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills and can accomplish tasks with little supervision. 




This is a full-time summer work term position and the hours of work per week are 37.5 hours. The term for this position will be from June 3, 2024 to August 30, 2024 and the hours of work are 8:30am – 4:30pm. 



This position will be paid hourly at $23.50 an hour plus vacation pay.
