SUMMER 2024 CO-OP: Commercial Lending Administrative Assistant – Atlantic Central

Atlantic Central League Savings and Mortgage’s Halifax office is currently accepting applications for a summer co-op term position of Commercial Lending Administration Assistant.

In the role of Commercial Lending Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and project support to the Commercial and Lending Services Department. 



  • Maintaining LSM Commercial Electronic File Room.  Reviewing legal and credit paper files, scanning and filing required/missing documents. 
  • Creating electronic file room for closed/paid out files.  Examining documentation and organizing files following retention guidelines. 
  • Assist with Data Clean up project required for the implementation of the new banking system.  Review and update Horizon banking as required. 
  • Provides administrative and project support to the Commercial and Lending Services  department, including:  
  • Posting Financial transactions on Horizon banking.  Completing and balancing GL Sheet. 
  • Monitoring the Lending Services In-Box for credit union Applications.  Forwarding documents for review/approval to appropriate managers. 
  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned to support the Commercial and Lending Services departments.   



This position is Halifax based and offers the ability to work remotely as required and services Atlantic Canada. 



As the ideal candidate you will be working towards completing a degree in Business and have completed your first year of study and be a participant in the University’s Co-op program. 



You have the ability to learn new software, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). You will also have strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills and can accomplish tasks with little supervision. 



Please note that this is a 16-week fall co-op term position and the hours of work per week are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 8:30am–4:30pm. The term for this position will be from  

May 13, 2024 to August 30, 2024. 



This position will be paid hourly at $23.50 an hour plus vacation pay.
