Server/Bartender: The Lakes

The Lakes at Ben Eoin Golf Club & Resort is Cape Breton’s newest four-season resort. Established in 2009, with a membership base of 250, the resort has undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation and now offers modern clubhouse, amenities and Founders Restaurant and special events facility.

Server/Bartender/Beverage Cart Attendant

This position will promote an “exceptional resort experience”.  Will be responsible to professionally and pleasantly attend to member and guest needs while providing excellent food & beverage services in but not limited to the Founders, main restaurant, half way-hut, beverage cart and the Founders Event Space. To work under the direct supervision of the Front of House Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective communication skills with members, guests and fellow co-workers
• Maintaining a clean & safe working environment while also adhering properly to grooming/uniform policies
• Willingness & ability to adapt and adjust to multiple situations
• Demonstrate knowledge of all food and drink menus, including wine and mixed cocktails
• Demonstrate effective upselling and suggestive techniques
• Accurately processing cash & card transactions, cash balancing and deposits
• Demonstrate proper wine service at the table
• Accurately completing food wastage and food service sheets and completion of daily inventory
• Cleaning and setting of tables, seating and serving guests, polishing cutlery, glasses, folding of linens, stocking of dry goods

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, Capable of handling customer complaints effectively, ability to carry up to 30lbs, have a valid driver’s licence (beverage cart attendant) and Ability to carry 3 plates
