Recent or Potential Grads: Supply Chain Leadership Development

McCain Foods is seeking recent or upcoming graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Business or related disciplines to join the North American Supply Chain organization and be part of a Supply Chain Leadership Development Program.  We are looking for well rounded, driven, highly analytical problem solvers with a track record of achieving results, who also have a passion to become future leaders at McCain.  Program participants will be located in our Florenceville-Bristol, NB office.

The Supply Chain Leadership Development Program is intended to develop supply chain contributors into future supply chain leaders within McCain North America.  The Program, for new hires, will offer candidates with limited experience and exposure to supply chain the ability to quickly gain a keen understanding of critical supply chain functions.  The program focuses on rotational assignments designed to develop and broaden supply chain skills.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Participants will be provided with three rotational assignments which could include any of the following roles:

  • Supply Planner
  • Demand Planner
  • Deployment Planner
  • Supply Chain Analyst/Data Analyst
  • Logistics Coordinator
  • Customer Service Coordinator

During each of the three rotational assignments, participants will take on full-time responsibility of their functional role, while also completing the Leadership development curriculum and activities. Throughout time in the program, participants will foster technical and leadership skills through specific training, mentoring and professional development opportunities. 

After the completion of the program, the employee will be assigned to a specific role, which may be a role which held during the rotational period.  At this time, the employee would also be eligible to apply for relevant open roles within McCain, including any which were part of the rotational period.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assigned full time roles as part of rotational assignments
  • Develop a keen understanding of supply chain functions and major roles and responsibilities
  • Engage in all training, development and educational opportunities provided
  • Participate in cross-functional teams supporting supply chain process improvement projects
  • Lead projects and related meetings with key stakeholders and deliver impactful presentations to senior leaders
  • Apply creative problem-solving skills to assigned work; communicate insights and synthesize conclusions

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILIITIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Business or related discipline
  • Relevant Internship or Co-op experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and a track record of achieving results
  • Must have exceptional analytical skills and be able to work with complex data
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy
  • Must be a self-motivated, analytical and independent thinker
  • Results focused.  Bias towards action, able to synthesize multiple pieces of information and act decisively
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problem solving, organization and planning skills
  • High proficiency in tools used for data analysis such as Excel is a must, Access a plus
