Job Description

Waldale is looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Operations Team in its primary duties and business growth efforts through active promotion of its products and services.

The Marketing Assistant will report to the Marketing Manager but must also establish positive working relationships with colleagues and staff of all functional areas.

This work will be a critical factor for the growth and development of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company.

Marketing Assistant Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the marketing and customer service team
  • Assist with overall corporate branding
  • Perform and organize market research as required
  • Assist with website and social media content creation and publishing
  • Assist with trade show preparation and industry events
  • Assist in the organization and hosting of presentations and customer visits
  • Preparing, formatting and editing a range of documents
  • Help with the creation of reports, presentations and similar documents
  • Assist in bid preparation and submission
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials
  • Help identify marketing trends and opportunities for growth

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience in marketing or equivalent education
  • A degree in business with a focus on marketing, public relations or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams)
  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator), a plus
  • Experience utilizing procurement websites like MERX, BidPrime, BidSync, a plus
  • Digital photography and video editing experience, a plus
  • Experience with WordPress Website Platform, a plus
  • Understanding of SEO and Google Analytics, a plus
