Our education and training programs have a direct link to improving performance through the development of the skills and knowledge of organizational leaders and their employees. Working with corporate leaders, AWENS offers customized education and training programs, training needs assessments, instructional design, and development, tutoring and coaching. Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Community Outreach Lead must be comfortable in reaching out to meet the community leaders we serve, to call attention to the work AWENS can deliver on. You must be proficient in working with Microsoft suite and applying social media tools to reach clients across the province and beyond the boarders of Nova Scotia. You are not afraid to pick up the phone and engage in meaning conversations about the work AWENS can offer. You have the genuine desire to meet the needs of the clients we serve. More importantly you must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Shifting tasks, being flexible and confident to meet the responsibilities is required to take on this role. This role requires you be a team player and contribute to the growth of the organization.

 

Community Outreach

  • Utilize and optimize social media platforms, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Complete outbound sales calls to community organizations
  • Respond as the first point of contact between the association members, clients, and general public via

phone and email (multiple lines and accounts)

  • Efficiently manage MailChimp newsletter content
  • Act as the Liaison with external businesses to assist with managing events, meetings, accommodations, and travel bookings

 

Your role:

  • Be the first point of contact – offering information about AWENS products and services
  • Maintain adequate office supplies for general office and program delivery
  • Prepare documents for Chief Executive Officer and Board as required
  • Prepare and send out emails; knowledge of MailChimp and Survey Monkey
  • Work with CRM tool and Microsoft Operating System
  • Maintain document filing system
  • Monitor operating practices and procedures for continuous improvement
  • Tidy and prepare office space for training purposes
  • Mailouts (business correspondence)

 

Location: 302 – 1600 Bedford Hwy, Bedford Pl., Halifax NS, B4A1E8 Halifax

Annual Salary: $35,000.00

Obligations and Reporting: 35 hours a week

Requirements: Work on site
