DOMTOR Energy Services and Consulting are industry leading whole Home Performance analysts. We specialize in home Energy Health and Performance. We are located at 81 Kytes Hill Drive, Sydney and work in various locations throughout Cape Breton and when required throughout Nova Scotia. We have a unique opportunity for the right candidate. We are looking to recruit a candidate who will participate in a comprehensive training program as well as hands on training and guidance to becoming an innovative Home Performance Analyst.

What is expected of you?

This role will be comprised of Administrative (Bookkeeping)/Data entry duties. You will also job shadow our Home Performance Analyst while they are on the road. Candidates must be willing to travel within Cape Breton and throughout Nova Scotia when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Assisting in the assessment of clients’ homes

· Collecting measurements and data of the home

· Accurately recording this information

While not on the road you will be responsible for entry of the data into the Home Modelling Software and company databases. You will also be expected to assist in administrative duties, primarily bookkeeping. Duties will be comprised of account reconciliation, invoice and estimate/quote creation for contractual retro-fit work as well as accurate reporting of sales and associated remittances.

In order to be certified as an Energy Advisor, you must be dedicated to complete the training, expected to study provided material and be successful in writing and passing the industry required exams.

The time required to complete the entire process will vary significantly depending on each candidate’s previous knowledge and work experience.


· A diploma of a recognized engineering certification or building science/ trades background would be preferred.

· Administrative/bookkeeping experience will be required – preference will be given to those with experience using Quick Books software.

· Data entry and interpretation experience 3-5 years.

· Technological aptitude – IT related experience or certification will be considered an asset. Please ensure to include examples of software you experienced within in your resume.

· Good Communicator, comfortable with face to face customer interaction.

· Good organizational skills.

· Commitment to studying provided material and be engaged in training sessions.

· Must be able to work with a flexible schedule including some evening and weekends.

· Background check will be required

Salary: Starting rate $18.00 per hour. Wage will be negotiable once certified as an Energy Advisor.

Hours: 40 hours per week
