We are currently seeking new talented candidates to fill various services and programs positions. Potential positions to be staffed via this process include Income Tax Auditor and Excise Tax Auditor/Examiner.

A few key activities include :

An Income Tax Auditor will audit of returns, assigned in accordance with the Planning Guidelines, to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act and other statutes administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

An Excise Tax Auditor/Examiner will audit and examination of returns and/or applications, assigned in accordance with the Planning Guidelines, to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Excise Tax Act and other statutes administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public health recommendations and restrictions are in place across Canada and may change as circumstances evolve. Intent of the process:
When you apply to this staffing process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to be placed on a list of qualified candidates (i.e. pools) for future vacancies. We will create various pools depending on the staffing requirements of the positions (i.e. relevant experience, location, language requirements). The pool established from this staffing process may be used to staff similar positions.

Essential staffing requirements

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements.


A secondary school diploma or CRA-approved alternatives.


the CRA’s minimum education standard for (Education standard for SP jobs requiring knowledge of accounting – Group II).

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Intermediate Financial Reporting 2 or FA3 or Intermediate Financial Accounting 2 or Intermediate Accounting 2.

* CRA-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma include: a satisfactory score on the CRA-approved test (General Intelligence Test – GIT 320 – Pass mark 80).
