Job Description

A note-taker is an individual who takes notes for students who have difficulties with taking notes for themselves. Note-takers are paid at the end of each semester by the student.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Taking notes for the required classes as listed in the confirmation email sent to you by the JKC.
  • Providing notes within 24 hours of the class

For typed notes:

  • please send them to jkc@cbu.ca
  • indicate the course code and section in the subject line of each email

For hand-written notes:

  • Handwriting must be complete, easy to read and in a notebook 6”x7” (15cm x 18cm) or larger
  • Please ensure all hand-written notes are neat, organized and legible
  • Notes are to be sent to jkc@cbu.ca within 24 hours of class with the course code and section in the subject line of the email

Qualifications

  • Must be in the same class (above) as the student
  • Ability to take good notes
  • Good attendance (and willingness to find notes from another class member if absent)
  • Good handwriting or ability to type
  • Reliable
