POSITION SUMMARY
Student Position: Digital Recruitment Assistant
Department: Business Intelligence
Reports To: Digital Recruiter / Manager of Business Intelligence
Start Date: Onboarded December 2021, Working January 2022 to April 2022

PURPOSE
The Digital Recruitment Assistant will be responsible for supporting CBU’s international and
domestic recruitment operations. Specifically, this role entails working and qualifying leads by
assisting prospective students through CBU’s application process. Furthermore, this role will
help uncover themes and gaps in the student experience regarding CBU’s application process;
utilizing skills in systems, analytics, and revenue operations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
● Create and manage a well-balanced application assistant schedule and book
one-on-one application assistant sessions, as well as group sessions.
● Engage leads via email, WhatsApp, phone, text, Microsoft Teams, and video chat.
● Keep record of all appointments, no-shows, and attendees for the purpose of a capstone
project: calculating the number of new students gained by your direct input and
assistance.
● Identify patterns and reasons why prospects do or don’t complete the application
process, and report findings and concerns to manager/supervisor.
● Collaborate with domestic and international recruitment teams to ensure successful lead
nurturing and conversion.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
● Currently enrolled at Cape Breton University.
● Very strong customer service skills and communication skills.
● Well organized.
● Experience working with Microsoft Office products.
● Highly motivated, reliable and results-oriented, balancing the work in this role with
studies.
● A team player.
● Background or academic interest in sales, operations, or analytics considered an asset.
