About the Opportunity

Protocase is currently seeking an entry level Accounts Payable Administrative Team Member, in Sydney (Cape Breton), Nova Scotia. As with all Protocase employees, the successful candidate must be focused on our customers, who depend on us to accurately and efficiently manufacture quality custom products. We provide full training to our new team members. If you have the right aptitude and attitude with a keen desire to learn, you will be a great fit!

  • Impeccable work ethic, trustworthiness and dependability
  • Satisfaction is gained at the end of the day by plowing through large amounts of paperwork. Gotta love a hard days’ work!
  • High attention to detail (but not paralyzed by perfectionism) and ability to follow procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and customers
  • A diploma or certificate in a relative field (although training is provided)


Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the following duties and responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Administrative Team Member will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Schedule and process all payments to vendors in a timely fashion
  • Responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Track expenses and process expense reports
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Maintaining historical records, sort and file documents
  • Analyze and review invoices prior to entry
  • Reconcile and Audit Credit Card Statements
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
