80 Hour, Paid, Remote Internships Through Riipen

Level UP is a Government of Canada funded internship program ready to help you prepare for a career you’ll love after graduation. Centred around a single project, Level UP internships are 80 hours in length, completed over a 2-8 week period, and are designed from the ground up to be completed remotely. Upon completion of each internship, you’ll earn a $1400 stipend ($17.50/hour) whether participating as an individual or on a team. With internships available in 94 categories like computer science, business strategy, communications, healthcare, and law & policy, you’re sure to find an opportunity that fits your skills, interests, and availability.

Here’s how to get started:

  • Once you complete the eligibility check, you’ll get access to browse available internships sourced from hundreds of Canadian employers, all inside the Level UP portal on the Riipen platform.
  • Next, using your resume, you’ll apply to internships that interest you and you have the skills for.
  • Once accepted, you’ll meet with the employer to kick-off the project and then use Riipen’s built in project management tools to stay organized over the 80 hours of work ahead.
  • When you complete the internship, you’ll submit a final deliverable inside the Riipen platform, complete the exit survey, then you’ll receive your stipend within 14 business days.
  • Repeat up to 3 completed internships per year!

Whatever it is you want to do after graduation, our employer network, project library, and student community will help you get there–fast. If you want to try a new role outside your area of study, enhance your resume with employer testimonials, and get paid while you learn, this is the program for you.

To be eligible for Level UP, you must meet all three of the eligibility criteria:

  • I am legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
  • I am a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • I am registered as a current student in a Canadian Post-Secondary Education (PSE) institution
