Accountabilities: As part of the Capital Projects team focused on project cost control, the Junior Business Analyst will be responsible to:
  • Reviewing the monthly forecasts provided by cost analysts and updating Project Status reporting for team bi-weekly update meetings.
  • Support budget/forecasting requirements
  • Prepare and maintain monthly accrual list
  • Run monthly PO report
  • Provide requisitioning support to project managers
  • Send invoices for approval and complete receiving
  • Complete invoices on hold report weekly
  • Work closely with Procurement through the Request For Proposal process
  • Work with business representatives on process review and analytics to identify Continuous Improvement opportunities.
  • Develop standards, training and communication documentation with direction from the project coordinator.
  • Conduct basic data analysis and assessment of data quality;
  • Assist with other business improvement activities and business tasks as assigned.
  • Have a willingness to learn basic Project Management and track and complete tasks associated.
  • Other duties as time permits are organizing electronic records, reviewing contracts, and closing projects (Work Orders, Finance and Admin).
  • You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
  • Must be working towards a post-secondary degree in Business or other related discipline
  • Experience and proficiency with entire MS Office suite, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, merging and master sheets) together with strong analytical, data, and math skills.
  • Experience with MS SharePoint is an asset.
  • Must have excellent writing skills.
  • Must have strong business and personal communication skills;
  • Must have strong attention to detail and prioritization skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with good problem-solving approach;
  • Self-starter; must be able to meet deliverables with minimal supervision;

Salary: To commensurate with qualifications and experience.
