We are currently looking for a Business Analyst Co-op Student to join the Compliance Team to support preparations for upcoming Audit activities through the collection and organization of audit artifacts as well as the definition and documentation of a repeatable approach to audit response.

Accountabilities:

As the successful applicant you will the support the Compliance Team through:

  • Identifying audit requirements and developing an approach for responding to upcoming audits;
  • Supporting the completion of pre-audit activities including the collection and organization of audit required information;
  • Acting as the liaison between the Compliance Team and other Business Areas involved ensuring the organization is adequately prepared for upcoming audits;
  • Documenting activities and approaches taken to complete audit activities; and,
  • Defining and designing a repeatable process for audit response.

In addition to the activities above you will contribute as a team member by:

  • Completing weekly status reports;
  • Attending and contributing to scheduled and ad-hoc meetings; and,
  • Supporting other team members and their activities on as required basis.

You will also be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

Skills, Capabilities and Experience:

You must be working towards a Business Degree and be in your 1st or 2nd year of university and have:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings/workshops;
  • The ability to complete activities independently and as a member of a team;
  • Experience participating in audit related activities (considered an asset)
  • Superior organizational and Time Management skills;
  • An attention for details;
  • Working knowledge of basic MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word);
  • A positive mindset and approach to your work; and
  • The desire to learn and contribute new ideas and solutions.
