RECRUITER CO-OP (Winter 2023)

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our operations for a Recruiter Co-op student position. The role will work closely with the Director of Human Resources at the Bluenose Building located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

What You Will Bring: 

  • Education Required:
    • Currently enrolled in Business Administration, with an interest in Human Resources (co-op program or regular studies)
  • Available for a Winter work term and in good academic standing
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Customer focused individual with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Energetic self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of, and experience with recruitment is considered a strong asset

What You Will Achieve:

  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including attracting and sourcing candidates, screening, and interviews, and working closely with Hiring Managers on candidate suitability.
  • Work collaboratively with team members from various departments on a variety of ad hoc requests
  • Utilize our human resources information system (HCM) i.e. employees changes, updating employee listing
  • Assist with performance management, industrial relations, and other HR related duties that arise
  • Lead and complete special projects as required
