Cape Breton Regional Municipality Parks & Grounds Spring Students (23-ST06-01)
Resumes will be accepted for spring season student positions with CBRM Parks & Grounds Division. Applicants must be residents of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. To qualify for a summer job with CBRM’s Parks & Grounds Department, all applicants must consent to the carrying out of a Search of the Child Abuse Register and a Police check by CBRM. Applicants must be willing and able to work in varying areas of the municipality as required by the position. Applicants must have possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates should have proven abilities in related duties. Assists staff and others in performing horticultural duties such as mowing, aerating, planting, pruning, site renovations, seeding, sodding, fertilizing, etc. Other duties might include aspects of sports field construction, hardscaping and various related tasks in the maintenance of a park & play space system. Pay rate is minimum wage, $14.40 hr. x 40 hrs. a week for six (6) weeks, from Tuesday, May 23rd to Friday, June 30th, 2023. The hours of work are from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, weekdays.
