BHTM Summer Internship: Cabot Links Front Desk Agent

As a Front Desk Agent, you should share a passion for service excellence and infuse enthusiasm into everything you do. You will work to provide the highest level of service in a knowledgeable, professional manner while striving constantly to exceed guest expectations.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Help to build the Cabot Experience for our guests through a “customer comes first” attitude by providing hands on timely quality service, exceptional value and a superior product
  • Create 100% satisfaction by providing fast and friendly genuine hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Ensure that each guest receives a warm welcome and introduction to Cabot offerings
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for guests
  • Achieve positive outcomes from guest inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Accurately input all guest data and prepare daily reports
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of lodging room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
  • Be knowledgeable of the local area amenities and activities
  • Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote lodging services and facilities
  • Use correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash
  • Assess guests’ needs and provide the appropriate information on resort activities, real estate and the resort in general
  • Facilitate the collection of client profile information for CRM (client details/personal and real estate interests etc.)
  • Be knowledgeable of the products, amenities and real estate offerings throughout the resort
  • Facilitate prospect/buyer introductions with Supervisor, Owner’s Experience
  • Manage supplies inventory and assist with general office administration
  • Ensure Front Desk is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times
  • Comply with Cabot health and safety legislation
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, with post-secondary course in Hospitality preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, experience using reservations systems an asset
  • Positive attitude and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Ability to work flexible hours – weekends and evenings as required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in Guest Services, with a strong knowledge of Inverness and surrounding areas
  • A team player and a self-starter, yet able to work independently within Cabot Links’ standards
  • Ability to work effectively in an innovative, fast-paced and multi-tasked environment
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Real estate experience would be considered an asset, however is not required

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing and crouching while performing other duties
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move luggage and objects up to 50 lbs
