Position Overview

  • Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of the bar meets world class expectations.
  • Accurately & professionally manage all sales transactions.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ownership of your business and effective communication of any concerns to the attention of the Manager/Supervisor (related to internal or external guests, food or service quality, operation of the room, physical surroundings).
  • Maintain inventory of product & ensure par stocks are correctly in place.
  • Perform side work, clean-up and opening/closing duties as assigned.
  • Comply with proper security, fire regulation, and all health and safety policies.
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.



  • Previous experience bartending required.
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Nova Scotia (19).
  • Serve Right certification (or equivalent) recommended.
  • Experience with Point of Sales systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of all beverage products (wines, scotches, ports, and liqueurs).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails and techniques.


Physical Demands

  • Ability to spend long hours walking and standing.
  • Frequently lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
  • Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
