BHTM Summer 2021 Internship: VARIOUS POSITIONS – JW Marriott the Rosseau

CULINARY

Steward (Seasonal): This position is responsible for washing dishes, cleaning all areas and properly disposing of recycling and garbage.

Second Cook (Seasonal): Reporting to the culinary leadership team, this position is responsible for playing a large part in the actual production of each meal.

Third Cook (Seasonal): This position is re sponsible for tasks that focus on the day to
day preparation activities in the kitchen.

Shipper & Receiver (Seasonal): This position stores and delivers all incoming orders including food and beverage deliveries for the resort.

 

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Recreation Attendant (Seasonal): Promoting a fun and relaxing environment for our guests, this role reports directly to the Recreation Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining the fitness centre and pool areas for guests and assists the recreation coordinator in facilitating recreation activities during peak times.

Life Guard (Seasonal): Promoting a fun and relaxing environment for our guests, this role reports directly to the Recreation Supervisor and is responsible for the safety of our guests and maintaining the pool area.

 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Server (Seasonal & FT): This position is responsible to serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. Servers have in-depth knowledge of the menu selections in order to accurately answer guest questions and communicate with the kitchen regarding food substitutions, length of wait, re-cook orders, dietary requirements and all allergies

Bartender (Seasonal & FT): This position is primarily responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages to guests. In addition, this position may be required to take food orders and serve guests.

Food and Beverage Assistant (Seasonal & FT): Reporting to the Food and Beverage Supervisor and the Food and Beverage leadership team, this position is responsible to assist servers in the dining room.

Host/Hostess (Seasonal & FT): Reporting to the Food and Beverage leadership team, this position is responsible for managing the dining room, seating guests and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Country Market Barista (Seasonal & FT): This position is responsible for making hot beverages and serving light food, along with selling retail gift shop items.

In Room Dining (Seasonal & FT): This position is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivering in room dining orders to guests in their guest rooms.

 

HOUSEKEEPING

Housekeeping Supervisor (Seasonal): The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for inspecting rooms, scheduling and training new associates, and responding to guest issues or complaints.

Laundry Supervisor (Seasonal): The laundry supervisor will maintain the organization of the laundry facility and load and unload washing machines and dryers, folding and ironing sheets, towels and bedding for various departments.

Housekeeping Lead (Seasonal): The Housekeeping lead is responsible for inspecting rooms, assisting with cleaning guestrooms, assisting with scheduling and training new associates.

House Person (Seasonal & FT): This position is responsible for promptly responding to requests from guests and other departments.

Room Attendant (Seasonal & FT): Responsible for cleaning guestrooms, lobby and common areas, and assisting in laundry as needed.

Overnight Laundry Attendant (Seasonal & FT): The laundry associate is responsible for loading and unloading washing machines and dryers, folding and ironing sheets, towels and bedding for various departments.

ENGINEERING

Grounds Person (Seasonal): Reporting to the Engineering leadership team, this position is responsible for monitoring property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.

Pool Maintenance (Seasonal): This position is responsible for maintaining the pool environments and chemical levels to ensure a safe and pleasant guest experience.

Rooms Preventative Maintenance (Seasonal): this position is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces, as required.

 

GUEST RECEPTION

Bellperson (Seasonal & FT): Greet our guests and assist with luggage storage and transportation to rooms. Additional responsibilities include valet service, parking vehicles, and shuttle service within the area. Guest

Reception Agent (Seasonal & FT): This position is responsible for processing all guest requests made through the At Your Service extension as well as checkins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change/ late check-out requests.

Night Audit (Seasonal): Assist guests with late check in’s, and inquiries overnight. Reconcile daily guest reception financials and prepare reports for Accounting and emergency purposes.

Concierge (Seasonal): The concierge is responsible for anticipating guest needs and assisting guests with making reservations in the outlets, spa or recreation programs. The concierge is responsible for providing each guest with a personalized experience they will remember.

At Your Service (Seasonal & FT): This position is responsible for serving as the main contact point for all guest requests and needs including answering calls, dispatching requests and following up to ensure guest satisfaction.
