HomeBridge Youth Society offers an interdisciplinary approach to youth care in six child caring
homes around the metro area as well as Bridges for Learning, an accredited school program. Youth
between the ages of 12 and 18 experience therapeutic interventions, support, and opportunities
with a focus on evidence-based approaches to stabilization, education and life skills. Does this

We are currently looking for Youth Care Workers to join our team.
Here’s what you need to get an interview:
Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Science field OR possess a Diploma in Child
and Youth Care from a recognized program.
Experience working in the field of Child & Youth Care, specifically with children and youth
with complex mental health and/or addictions issues. Experience working with youth in a child
caring setting is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
▪ Working understanding of current Youth Care Practices
▪ Awesome inter-personal, communication and organizational skills
▪ An ability to connect with young people who are resistant to developing relationships
▪ Teamwork and a desire to have fun at work
▪ Open and willingness to work shift work, including overnights, weekends and holidays
▪ Valid certification in First Aid/CPR, (ASIST) Suicide Intervention, NVCI Non-Violent
Crisis Intervention, and Mental Health First Aid are considered assets.

▪ $21.00 an hour plus 4% vacation pay to start
▪ Shift premium rates are applied on nights and weekends ($2.25 per hour on nights and
weekends)
