The Yellow Cello Cafe and Green Highlander Lodge is seeking for candidates to join their seasonal culinary team. Recognized as a well-established business, they have been in operation for 40yrs and are a unique landmark in the hospitality and food service scape of the Cabot Trail. ‘The Cello’ is best known for their hand tossed, stone baked pizza, gourmet foot long hotdogs, fantastic breakfast, delicious homemade breads, salads, pastas, and desserts. The funky and art inspired atmosphere is enjoyed by all patrons. Located on the Main Street of Baddeck, overlooking the beautiful harbour and Brasd’or Lakes.

Wages: Competitive Wages

Qualifications / Duties:

• Ability to efficiently prepare, cook and plate daily breakfast items according to menu.
• Follow in house recipes and presentation specifications.
• Prepare a variety of foods items for lunch and dinner service such as; sauces, chopping, shredding, slicing etc. (full training provided on site).
• Maintain, sanitize, and clean kitchen and work areas in accordance to Dept. of Health standards and CoVID 19 protocols.
• Willingness to work a set schedule as well as occasional evening shift when required.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible and possess a strong work
• Required to work in a team environment.
• Create/ maintain conscientious work habits
• Food Handlers Certificate and previous experience working in a kitchen considered an asset.
