Just about a month ago, we finalized the call for proposals for a book on Aboriginal Business in Canada and I sent it to all of my contacts requesting that they forward it on to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal scholars and practitioners who might like to contribute to the project. Since then, I've had very interesting conversations with potential authors across the country, from St. John's, NL to the Northwest Territories, and many points in-between.
It has been exciting for me to discover the level of interest that exists for such a text, as well as new issues and research that might be appropriate for inclusion. It's been equally inspiring to talk to so many Aboriginal businesspeople who want to find ways of contributing their experiences and specialized knowledges to the project. I'm grateful that they were willing to suffer through my coughing as I skyped them from home last week. (I appear to have that 100-day cough that's been going around.)
I'd love to have a conversation with you next!
