How to Nominate Someone for an Honorary Degree
Honorary degree recipients are determined by the Tributes Committee of the Board of Governors. The committee encourages any nomination of individuals believed to be ideal candidates to receive an honorary degree from Cape Breton University.
To nominate someone, we recommend that you start by reviewing the guidelines approved by the Board of Governors for the awarding of honorary degrees, then submit a detailed description as to why you believe this candidate is ideally suited to receive an honorary degree from CBU. This should include information on the contributions they have made to their field or profession, as well as any additional information you think might be relevant. We will also need the contact information of your nominee so we can get in touch and talk with them about their accomplishments. Contact information can include a mailing address, email or telephone number.
