Promise Scholars at CBU

Funding and supporting Black and Indigenous students at Cape Breton University

The Atlantic Promise Scholars initiative is increasing diversity in post-secondary intuitions across Atlantic Canada. It offers Black and Indigenous students financial aid and includes supports like mentorships and job placements.

With all the region’s 11 business schools participating, the Atlantic Promise Scholars initiative will help to create a more diverse and inclusive regional business community. It’s happening in partnership with Atlantic Business Magazine, its Top 50 CEOs, and others who recognize diversity’s potential in education and practice.

The Promise Scholars initiative will make business schools and the business community more inclusive. This is essential for ongoing growth and prosperity in Atlantic Canada and beyond.

We are seeking support from the CEOs, business leaders and others wishing to open doors to Black and Indigenous business students.

You can help us make a difference — not just for the Promise Scholars, but for the future leadership of our businesses, non-profits, governments and communities.
