#CBUstaycation Challenge – Watch dazzling Canada 150 fireworks at a community event

This year marks the 150th anniversary of Canada, which is worth celebrating! And that’s just what some Cape Breton communities will be doing. Gather some friends and family and head to the next community firework show because it’s sure to be a “blast”.

What a better way to finish an evening than by watching fireworks sparkle in the night sky. Be sure to huddle up and grab a sweater or blanket and a warm drink because you won’t want to leave the spectacle early!

Wondering when the fireworks are?

July 5th – 8:00pm Main Street Fire Hall in Reserve Mines for Lambert Todd Days

July 16th– 8:00pm Glace Bay Harbour Front for Bay Days

July 23rd– 9:30pm Colliery Lands Park in New Waterford for Coal Dust Days

July 30th– 8:00pm Hawks Field in Dominion for Seaside Daze

Aug. 6th– 10:00pm Sydney Waterfront for Sydney Waterfront Festival

Can’t make it to one of these events for the fireworks? Create your own! Head to the nearest party supplier and grab some fireworks and create your very own spectacle.

These are just some of the fireworks this summer. Show us the fireworks you’ll be watching this summer by using the hashtag #CBUStaycation.
