Caper Buzz – time to vote

What’s going on everyone!

You may or may not have noticed, but there are some students that have been walking around looking for signatures! All it means is that the CBU Students’ Union general elections are happening once again. Students will go around collecting signatures so they’ll be eligible to run for President or Vice-President of the Students’ Union. I don’t know a whole lot about the process, so I met with current CBUSU President, Brandon Ellis, to learn a little bit more.

The nomination period is almost over, but if you’re ever interested in running then this video is perfect! Brandon breaks down the process from start to finish. The last time I was ever involved with politics was when I ran for student council in high school. While campaigning might seem like a grand old time, the actual job of being president is a lot of work. Keep that in mind if you ever decide to run!

From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be a very interesting race! A lot of the candidates would be perfect for the job they’re running for. I think we’re in for quite the show folks! On a separate note, I hope everyone is having a great semester. There’s a small chance we may get a huge snowstorm this weekend. If that happens I’m totally making a snowman. There was one night I actually sat and thought about what would happen if everyone that lived on rez built one snowman. I think that would be awesome. Will it ever happen? No clue – but I want to be there to see it if it does!

Have a great weekend everyone!
