Moses Mallam, A Lasting Impression

Bachelor of Business Administration (Internship), Bachelor of Arts

Moses Mallam says he felt welcome at CBU before he ever stepped foot on campus. “Everyone I spoke to before I arrived seemed very nice and I read really good things about the business program,” says Moses.

Originally from Kaduna, Nigeria, Moses will be graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Internship) degree (BBA) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a concentration in communication. He has always had an interest in both business operations and strategies, so he knew the combination of programs at CBU would be the perfect fit for his career goals and outgoing personality.

Arguably one of the most familiar faces on campus and on top of pursuing two degrees, Moses was actively and passionately involved with the International Students Centre, CBU Students’ Union, Business Society, Enactus Society, Christian Students’ Society, International Student and Study Abroad Centre, Residence Life Committee and was a Peer Success Coach with Student Services.  With so many friends and connections at CBU, Moses says, “I’m definitely going to miss the people here the most.”

Hard work and taking advantage of the services available are what Moses believes were the keys to his success. “I enjoyed working with the students and professors,” says Moses. “My experience at CBU was amazing, but I think the most exciting thing for me was making the Dean’s List.

“Moses has been so involved at CBU that it is difficult to summarize the impact he has had on the campus community,” says Alyssa MacDonald, Student Development Officer, colleague and friend to Moses. “He is an extremely hard working, kind, and generous individual who is always willing to go the extra mile. His positive energy is so infectious that it’s hard not to smile when he is around. We are excited to see what great things he will accomplish in the future.”

Moses is equally excited to graduate and hopes to join the workforce, get more experience and later pursue his Master of Business Administration degree. “It’s been a fantastic journey and if I could do it again I would still choose CBU!” says Moses.
