Greetings! Here’s a quick update on the cbu.ca website project.
On Thursday, October 2nd and Friday, October 3rd, the team from Kula Partners were onsite to conduct "Story Workshops". These workshops allowed Kula to gather input from internal stakeholders about how we, and our respective constituents, use the website. One simple example might be:
How does HR use the website to share information with faculty and staff? And how do faculty and staff use the website to access that information?
Or, how does HR use the website to recruit new faculty and staff? And how do prospective faculty and staff use the website to access that information?
A big thanks to everyone who participated. Your time and input were both greatly appreciated. If you weren't involved in one of those sessions (or you’ve thought of something new to add!) there will be additional opportunities for further feedback. Please stay tuned.
What to expect next
Kula is consolidating the input from the Story Workshops, and will use it to develop a series of User Personas (profiles of typical users) in order to guide the design of the site’s functionality. They’ll share the results with us, and we’ll share it with you, gather feedback, and iterate!
A series of workshops with high-school-age students and current students is next on the list.
Using your feedback, we'll also release a new – temporary – theme for the existing website that will help bridge the gap between now and when the brand new site launches in 2015.
