Settling into our new office in Membertou

It's been a long time coming, but we're finally in our new offices in Membertou. There have been delays and debates, along with mixed emotions. But here we are. We packed up last Monday and were moved during our retreat on Wednesday. Because we were hosting a Research Capacity Development Workshop funded by AAEDIRP in Eskasoni on Friday, I really didn't get to unbox everything until Monday afternoon (two days ago). It's going to take some time for me to sort through files and find a place for everything, but hopefully I'll be fully settled into my "new digs" by our open house, tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of December 17th.

So, there's still much to sort though, but the most important items are in place: my miniature of Cabot Tower, given to me by a friend before I left Newfoundland for graduate studies, and my camel figurine named Alibaba, given to my by a student on Saudi National Day.

And here's the view out my window — yes, I have an entire wall of glass and my eyes are thankful for the natural light!!!

Hope to see you all here in Membertou very soon!
