Joining our CBU Community in January?

Welcome!  We're excited to meet you!

Before you start classes in January there are a few things you need to do. First, you need to complete your academic advising. If you are a new CBU student with no transfer credits you can contact one of our academic advisors, Mike MacIssac or Barbara Kennedy, to help you select your courses for the winter semester. Mike MacIsaac can be contacted at 902.563.1408 or and Barbara Kennedy at 902.563.1646 or If you are a new CBU student with transfer credits you need to get academic advising from a faculty member in your department or school. To book your academic advising appointment with a faculty member in your school or department, phone the secretary in the appropriate school listed below and he or she will help you make an advising appointment:

Once you have been advised and selected your courses, you can register online or in-person at the Registrar’s Office.  You can also meet with the Academic Success Coach at CBU, Alyssa MacDonald, who will discuss all of the on-campus support and services available to CBU students. Finally, make sure you get to know your fellow students, along with important information about CBU!  Orientation for all new CBU students will take place on Tuesday January 6 from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Veschuren Centre.
