Guest Post: Health & Dental Plans (From Your Students’ Union)

Upon registering as a full-time student at CBU (both semesters), students are automatically enrolled in the Students’ Union health and dental plans. Our current health care provider is the Campus Trust and the cost of the health plan is $135. Our dental plan is with Great West Life and costs $120 for the year. Health and dental coverage is effective from September 1st to August 31st.

If you have existing health or dental coverage, either through a parent or work, and do not require our coverage, you can opt-out (drop) the plan(s). The deadline for all students who register for the fall semester (September) to opt-out is September 30, 2014. Opt-outs will not be considered after this dateIt is the student’s responsibility to opt-out, and this may be done online ONLY. To opt-out, visit the CBU website at www.cbu.ca and log in to your Student Online Access. Other options are available for opting-in family members at an additional cost.
