National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Now Open!

At Cape Breton University, we want our students to have the best educational experience possible, and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) helps by providing vital information about activities in and out of the classroom. First-year and senior undergraduate degree-seeking students are invited to participate in this important survey.

Who can take the survey?

Eligible students can find their invitation to participate in a March 1, 2023 email from Dr. Richard MacKinnon, sent from nsse@nssesurvey.org. Students can also access the survey by following these steps:

  • Go to the NSSE website
  • Click on “don’t know your login ID”
  • Complete the easy, one-step verification process to log in

Prize Draws

In appreciation for participating, students who complete the survey by March 23, 2023, will be automatically entered in a random drawing to win 1 of 3 great prizes:

  • a 3-credit tuition waiver (worth ~$800)
  • an Apple Watch (worth ~$500)
  • a Bluetooth speaker (worth ~$125)

Chances of winning depend on how many complete the survey; the last time administered this survey was administered 653 students responded.
