The Canadian Coast Guard College (CCGC) is a world leader in the field of maritime studies and the national training centre for the Canadian Coast Guard. A key program is the Canadian Coast Guard Officer Training Program. This is a four-year training program and is considered one of the best marine training programs in the world, producing both Marine Engineering Officers and Marine Navigation Officers.
The CCGC has a unique opportunity for a marketing intern to assist with the marketing and promotion of the College. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an interest in the use of social media, promotional videos and recruitment. The successful applicant will work with our recruitment team in developing promotional material for print, web and video. This will be a unique opportunity to enhance marketing skills and to also develop an understanding and build experience working within the public sector.
Students must be enrolled in a business program (co-op) with a specialization in marketing.
Knowledge of on-line marketing and promotion.
Knowledge of the Canadian Coast Guard College.
Ability to communicate verbally.
Ability to communicate in writing (cover letter will be used to assess this qualification)
Personal Suit abilities:
Experience in an academic or government setting would be an asset.
Ability to communicate in French would be an asset.
Assist in the development of promotional material for print, web and video for the Canadian Coast Guard College. The goal of the material is to increase awareness of the Canadian Coast Guard Officer Training Program.
Assist with the preparation of promotional material and presentations for recruitment events.
Represent the Canadian Coast Guard College at recruiting events.
Assist in the development of marketing opportunities using social media channels.
Respond to inquiries from potential applicants.
Prepare and compile reports and statistical information relating to various recruitment events.
