Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa is a Cape Breton Island gem. Spectacularly perched high on a headland overlooking the vibrant Atlantic Ocean, our majestic property on the Nova Scotia shoreline has been welcoming guests since 1940. This iconic facility sprawls over 38 acres on the middle head peninsula within the Cape Breton Highlands National Park of Canada.

Qualifications:          

  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative course of action quickly and accurately
  • Work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
  • Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Persuasive descriptive abilities helpful
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
  • Responsible beverage certification preferred
  • First Aid certification preferred

Positive dining experiences are everything! Engaging guests while delivering a personalized Cape Breton experience is the essence of our great Food & Beverage Servers.

  • Approaching all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintaining regular attendance in compliance with Keltic Lodge standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
  • Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
  • Complying at all times with the Keltic Lodge standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations
  • Requesting orders from and serving food and beverages to guests
  • Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the service area
  • Performing opening/closing and side duties as per the shift checklist
  • Being energetic and enthusiastic; providing exceptional customer service

Being knowledgeable about all outlet menus and menu items
