Position Overview: The Night Auditor is a key member of the Guest Services team responsible for the overnight operations of the Hotel, verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues, as well as assisting with all aspects of guest services.

Qualifications:

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner according to Cabot Links’ standards
  • Engage each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests
  • Perform accurate check-ins and check-outs of guests daily
  • Answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner
  • Make reservations over the phone and in person and ensure all aspects of the room reservation procedure are followed, including bookings, confirmations and cancellation policies
  • Responsible for a cash float throughout your shift and ensuring all floats balance correctly at the end of shift
  • Anticipate and address guest’s service needs
  • Listen to guest’s complaints or concerns and resolve their issue in a timely manner
  • Promote a safe working environment
  • Learn and adhere to all fire and emergency procedures, including procedures for handling of the fire panel, ensuring guest safety and participate in an evacuation if necessary
  • Verify revenue from all sources is accurately balanced, follow up on any discrepancies
  • Post any transactions needed
  • Perform end-of day procedures
  • Produce daily reports for departments and department heads
  • Compile and run statistical reports for all departments and transfer information to our Accounting department
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to remain alert and display strong attention to detail at all times during overnight scheduled shifts
  • Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing and crouching while performing other duties
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move luggage and objects up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide timely, personalized, friendly and efficient food and beverage service
  • Serve, refresh, clear and re-set tables in a timely manner
  • Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our restaurant exceeds expectations
  • Maintain work section in an orderly and timely manner (clearing tables, refreshing beverages, removing food items)
  • Complete side duties in timely manner (side stations properly stocked)
  • Takes proper measures to ensure guests bills are presented and posted in a timely manner (cash, credit card or room charge)
  • Bring any concerns to the attention of the Manager/Supervisor On Duty (related to internal or external guests, food or service quality, operation of the room, physical surroundings)
  • Comply with proper security, fire regulation, and all health and safety policies
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by management
