Halifax Universities Career Fair

Connecting students in NS with employers

The Halifax Universities Career Fair is an annual recruiting event that is organized by Dalhousie, Mount Saint Vincent, and Saint Mary’s Universities to connect Nova Scotia post-secondary student with career and employment opportunities,  The fair is recognized as the premiere recruiting event in Atlantic Canada, connecting over 1500 students with 120+ employers each year.

As in past years, the Executive Committee is pleased to extend an invitation to the students who are enrolled at universities in Nova Scotia.

The fair will take place on September 26, 2017 from 10 am until 4 pm, at the Cunard Centre.  Students are required to bring their student ID for admission the the fair.

Open House, The Atlantic Veterinary College

The Atlantic Veterinary College‘s annual Open House is scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 10 am to 2 pm.  Open House offers a behind-the-scenes view of the College, with activities, presentations, food, and an opportunity to interact with our students.

We are extending an invitation to all CBU students to attend a special session on the Atlantic Veterinary College’s admission process scheduled during Open House.  Presenters are Dr. Leigh Lamont, Associate Dean of Student and Academic Affairs at Atlantic Veterinary College, and Jack MacDougall, Professional Programs Admissions, Registrar’s Office, UPEI.

The session is scheduled for 10 am in Lecture Theatre A, AVC.  Students must pre-register by email to as space is limited.

The deadline for registration is Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

We welcome CBU students to this session as it will be beneficial for anyone interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.

Career Fair

The Annual Job/Career Fair was held on campus on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018, in the Great Hall.

Career Fair Preparation Workshops

In preparation for the Annual Career Fairs, Student Affairs offer a series of one hour workshops on Getting the most out of Career Fairs and Resume Preparation.  These workshops will be offered again in October and at a number of different times (see Schedule below) to accommodate student`s class schedules.
