Twitter Tutorial

Janice Ester Tulk- Saturday March 12th, 1-5pm

In this short course, you’ll learn how to update your privacy settings on Twitter, follow or unfollow users, write and post tweets, retweet content, and use and understand hashtags. The first part of the class will be structured and the second part will be a Q&A period to address specific concerns or issues you have. Participants should already have a Twitter account and be familiar with its basic use.

Introduction to Islam – Saturday, March 5, 1-5pm

This course will introduce the history, scripture, beliefs and practices of the world’s second largest religion.

Global Trade – Saturday, April 2, 1-5pm

In light of the recent initiative to bring a container terminal to the port of Sydney, this course will cover aspects of global trade, with a particular emphasis on the role of container shipping.

Knitting Class:

Brenda Gouthro- Wednesdays 6pm-8pm March 2nd– March 30th

Beginner Knit Fringed scarf:  Supplies list   3 Balls Lion Brand Vanna’s choice yarn,( 2 of the main color and one contrasting for fringe) a pair of 8mm straight knitting needles preferably clover brand bamboo 9 inches long. 1-  6 mm crochet hook, 1 yarn needle.
Easy Garter stitch hat   1 Ball Lion Brand wool ease thick&quick any color. 1 Pair 9 mm straight knitting needles 9 inches long preferably clover brand bamboo and 1 yarn needle.

Pick one or both of these projects to complete while learning the knit stitch, joining new yarn, weaving in ends and sewing up seams. If you already know how to knit and would like to enjoy a social evening with the ladies, bring your project and while away a couple of hours.
