CBU prides itself on providing promising students with academic opportunities that are outside the norm at larger institutions. We recognize that research is an essential component of advanced education and that the sharing of research findings and fresh scholarship prepares the student for both graduate studies and professional careers. Fun Facts!

• In the summer of 2011, over 65 students were hired as researchers at CBU!
• We hold the Student Undergraduate Research Forum (SURF) every March.  
• Our office supports applications for external scholarships such as NSERC PGS/CGS, SSHRC CGS, CIHR CGS, and NSERC / USRA.  
• We have an annual BBQ to recognize student researchers and their supervisors.
• Every fall, we publish a newsletter showcasing student researchers at CBU!
• We hold Summer Student Lecture Series where students share their enthusiasm for their work.
