With the AUS soccer season around the corner, both the Cape Breton University CAPERS men’s and women’s soccer teams will open training camp this Saturday at the Cape Breton Health Recreation Complex on the CBU campus.
Dean Morley, head coach for the CAPERS men’s side, has scheduled a number of open tryouts for potential players while women’s coach Ness Timmons will also have a session where interested players can put their skills to the test.
For the men, tryouts will begin Saturday, August 29th and Sunday, August 30th with on field sessions scheduled for 9-11 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.
There will also be sessions from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Monday, August 31st and Wednesday, September 2nd. The final session will be Monday, September 7th at 8 p.m.
On the women’s side, an open tryout will be held Tuesday, September 8th at 6 p.m.
