Organized by CBU Art Gallery, A Handmade Holiday 2016 (HH2016) invites the funkiest, most exciting local crafters to participate in a seasonal campus celebration. The market attracts students, faculty, staff and members of the broader community for an afternoon of complimentary entertainment and treats, along with a festive holiday shopping experience.
“This will be our 5th annual Handmade Holiday, local craft and artisan market,” says Karie Liao, Art Gallery Curator. “It’s been a wonderful way for the gallery to connect with local artisans, crafters, musicians, makers and shakers. We are also so proud to showcase the unique creativity and growing entrepreneurial spirit of Cape Bretoners.”
“Through our different activities, live music and silent wreath auction, Handmade Holiday has been an opportunity for the gallery to reach out to different CBU departments and students groups to work towards a charitable cause,” adds Karie.
HH2016 will take place Friday, November 25, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. in the Great Hall. All of the proceeds from a Handmade Holiday will go towards this year’s local charity, Loaves and Fishes.
